Vistry completes contracts for 2,000 home Worcester site

Vistry has completed contracts to deliver over 2,000 new homes at a major site in South Worcester.

This development will offer a mix of tenures, with at least 1,000 of these pre-sold.

The site already has outline planning consent for up to 2,204 homes with 20% of these designated as affordable housing. Of the new homes, 800 will be affordable with 440 delivered through planning obligations and up to 400 as additional affordable or private rented homes.

Around 1,200 homes will be available for open market sale and will be delivered through Vistry’s Linden Homes, Countryside and Bovis Homes brands.

“Large sites such as this demonstrate our long-term commitment to building more mixed-tenure, affordable homes at scale, meeting the acute shortage of affordable homes across the country,” said James Warrington, executive chair (North, South Midlands and East Division) at Vistry.

“I would also like to formally acknowledge and express my sincere appreciation to Welbeck Land, Fisher German, and Arc Chartered Surveyors for their steadfast support and invaluable contributions throughout the land acquisition process.”
